Description
29 High Street in East Linton is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house with an adjoining single-storey, two-bay block that features dormers in the attic on the right side. The building is constructed from random whinstone rubble with sandstone dressings.
The east elevation, facing High Street, has a central doorway that has been blocked and converted into a window, which still retains a radial fanlight. There are windows flanking the ground floor and additional windows in each bay on the first floor.
The south elevation is the gable end, featuring a door on the outer right and two windows to the left, with two more windows on the first floor and a small opening in the attic. The rear of the building is harled and includes a modern forestair and sash and case windows, primarily with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with renewed red pantiles and has a slate easing course, straight skews, and harled gable end stacks.
