Description
32 High Street in East Linton is a late 18th century former dairy that features a stair turret at the rear. The building is situated on sloping ground and has been transformed from a single storey to a two-storey, three-bay house. It has white painted rendering with a base course and painted margins on the front, while the rear is harled. The front facade includes a central door flanked by windows, and there are two modern dormers in the attic that break the eaves. A modern extension has been added at the rear, which also features dormers.
The front of the house has sash and case windows with varied glazing. At the rear, there is a mid to late 17th century stair turret made of whinstone rubble with sandstone window dressings, along with some brick alterations to the window reveals. A doorway on the ground floor has been blocked, with a relieving arch above it, and a window has been blocked on the first floor. There is a small casement window located between the first and second floors. The front of the building is covered with red pantiles, while the rear has grey slates. The turret has a conical roof that is slate hung and topped with a finial.
