Description
47, 49, and 51 High Street in East Linton is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house situated on sloping ground at the corner with School Road. It includes a single-storey, two-bay former workshop to the north. The building is constructed from random whinstone rubble with sandstone dressings.
The northeast elevation faces High Street and features an off-centre door flanked by two windows on the right and a single window on the left. The first floor has three windows, while the workshop has two windows. There is also one window on the ground floor to the left in the gable facing School Road. The windows are sash and case, predominantly with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with red pantiles and has straight skews, with sandstone ends.
The building includes stacks with cornices and a skylight. The workshop also has red pantiles and swept eaves.
