House in row, now hotel. Mid C19, possibly rebuilding of earlier property. Rendered, slate mansard roof. 3 storeys and attic, 2 windows, all plain sashes. The dormers have arched heads, and wide rendered surrounds with scrolled supports; below, to the left is a 3-storey canted bay, with dentil cornices at each floor, and the mullions in pilaster form with bases and capitals, and to the right the sashes are in moulded architraves to flared feet and carried across as the sill. The panelled door, on 2 stone steps with nosings, has narrow side-lights and a shallow transom light in a segmental head, in a pilaster case, and with moulded cornice on consoles. The main moulded cornice is set between bold consoles, and with a blocking course with parapet. The ridge stack is to the left. INTERIOR: not inspected.
