Description

Circa 1815 cottage re-using 17th/18th century bolection mouldings and crest from former Kelhead (Kinmount) House. Single storey, and originally 3 bays, 4th bay added to W mid/late 19th century, roof pitch probably lowered then also, and stacks rebuilt. Rubble-built, original S-facing openings in plain bolection mouldings. Large and finely-carved

Queensberry crest set between door and window to E. Sash windows with narrow astragals deeply recessed in bolection mouldings. End and off-centre axial stacks; slate roof, piended over addition. N elevation altered.
