Description

The aviary at Kinmount House, built in the late 19th century, features five bays, each consisting of individual small shelters that are gabled, roofed with slate, and constructed from brick with some ashlar detailing and skews. Each shelter has a wide round arch facing south, which opens into elaborate cages framed with wrought iron. The outer cages include large octagonal pavilions.
