Description
East Lodge at Kinmount House is an earlier 19th century asymmetrical single-storey lodge featuring gatepiers. The lodge is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and has architraved windows, most of which include wooden mullions and retain a lying-pane glazing pattern throughout. On the east elevation, there is a canted window in an advanced gable on the left and a square porch in the re-entrant angle. The north gable window has a round-arched panel displaying the Queensberry crest. The building features shaped skews, corniced end and axial stacks, and is roofed with graded slates. The gatepiers consist of four square piers topped with flat pyramidal caps, accompanied by curved quadrants with moulded coping.
