Description

Early 19th century. Piend-roofed single storey, 3-bay gothick

lodge with pointed openings with gatepiers. Rubble-built with

ashlar dressings, all painted.

Lodge: originally rectangular-plan, additions to rear (S).

N elevation: door and flanking casement windows all with

pointed upper lights (latticed at windows). Corniced central

axial stack; roof with projecting eaves, and covered with

graded slates. E flank now 3 bays with main roof carried

over; modern garage abuts W flank.

Piers: 4 square piers, each with projecting piers; inner

piers with plain panels, thin outer piers linked by curved

low coping with spiked cast-iron railings.
