Description
The lodge at Warmanbie is an early 19th century single-storey building with a piend roof and three bays, designed in a Gothic style. It features pointed openings and gatepiers. The structure is built from rubble with ashlar dressings, all of which are painted.
Originally rectangular in plan, the lodge has had additions made to the rear (south side). The north elevation includes a door and flanking casement windows, all featuring pointed upper lights, with the windows being latticed. There is a corniced central axial stack, and the roof has projecting eaves covered with graded slates. The east flank has been modified to three bays, with the main roof extending over it, and a modern garage is attached to the west flank.
The gatepiers consist of four square piers, each with projecting sections. The inner piers have plain panels, while the thinner outer piers are connected by a curved low coping topped with spiked cast-iron railings.
