Description

The lodge and gate-piers at Ridge Park, located at 86 Mousebank Road in Lanark, date from the later 19th century. This single-storey and attic lodge features crowstepped gables, curved quadrants, and square gate-piers.

The lodge is constructed from narrow coursed and squared rubble, accented with contrasting dressings and raised quoins. The south elevation has three bays, with the inner bay being advanced and gabled, and it includes a modern timber porch. The ground floor has bipartite windows, diamond-shaped end stacks, and a high rear wing, all topped with slate roofs.

The gate-piers are panelled and the quadrants are stepped to follow the slope. They are built from rubble with ashlar dressings, and there are modern gates and railings present.
