Walled Garden, Ridge Park, 86 Mousebank Road, Lanark

Ridge Park is a later 19th century villa featuring neo-Jacobean detailing. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and is constructed from narrow coursed and squared rubble, accented with contrasting yellow ashlar dressings, raised quoins, and hoodmoulds. The west elevation includes a gable with a spike finial that projects forward on the left side, and a circular entrance turret in the re-entrant angle, which has a curved doorcase and a finialed roof covered in fish-scale slates. To the right, there is a shaped wallhead gable. The ground floor features projecting tripartite windows with parapets, although the left parapet has been removed. The building has blocked eaves, shaped skews, and diamond end and axial stacks, all topped with slate roofs.

The south elevation has twin gables and includes lean-tos and a fire escape that has been added. There is a walled garden located to the south and west of the villa. Additionally, there is an L-plan conservatory with a pyramidal roof at the axis and a cupola. Steps lead from the west side to the garden.
