Description
2 Park Place in Lanark is an English Tudor cottage built in 1851, featuring one storey and an attic. The building has an asymmetrical plan and is constructed with coursers that include ashlar quoins, long and short dressings, and hood moulds. The southeast corner has an advanced gable with a bipartite window at ground level and a narrow light in the gable end. The entrance is located in a re-entrant angle, complete with a projecting porch under the gable. On the northwest side, there are two windows, with the extreme bay added in an identical style. The southeast elevation showcases an advanced bay with two windows at ground level and a narrow light in the gable, along with one window in the rear wing on the northeast side. There are some modern additions at the rear of the cottage. The roof is made of slate and features coped skews, simple skew putts, three corniced stacks at the gable ends, and one axial stack.
