Description
The lodge at Stravithie House is an early 19th-century structure. It is a small, single-storey rectangle that features harled walls with ashlar dressings. The roof is broad-eaved and piended, covered with slate. The entrance is a central door on the south side, flanked by single windows, with an additional window on the east side. There are two diagonally set square ashlar chimney stacks, each topped with a peaked block cornice.
The gate-piers consist of a pair of square ashlar piers that have cornices and shallow pyramidal caps. These piers are connected by serpentine walls to smaller square terminal piers made of droved ashlar. The original railings have been removed, and there is a modern gate that dates back to 1957.
