Description
This is a lodge dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, situated on Evesham Road. The lodge is constructed of ashlar limestone, with a slate roof, limestone coping, and brick stacks. It has a rectangular plan with a 20th-century extension set back on the left side. The lodge is one storey high and has one window on the front, featuring a 3-light 20th-century metal casement flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals. A moulded triangular pediment spans the facade. The entrance is located at the rear. The roof has flat gable coping, a central axial stack with a chimney pot, and another stack on the extension to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
Outside the lodge are gate piers and wrought iron railings. The railings and piers date to the 19th century. There are two square limestone gate piers, approximately 2 metres in height, with corners cut away and moulded capitals topped with pyramidal forms. A larger rectangular pier of a similar design stands furthest to the left. The wrought iron railings consist of spear-headed designs with loop decoration where the railings meet the piers.
