Description

This milestone, dated 1896, is a cast-iron structure with an angle front and a hipped upper panel. It was made by M & W Grazebrook of Dudley. The north side of the milestone is inscribed with "Moreton/4 miles/Stow/6/County of/Worcester/1896" beneath a pointing hand, indicating distances to nearby locations. The south side features a pointing hand and the inscriptions "Broadway/4 miles/Evesham/10/Worcester/25/M & W Grazebrook/Iron Founders/Dudley/". Additionally, the top facet is inscribed with "Blockley Parish". Blockley was historically part of Worcestershire.
