Milestone. Dated 1898. Cast iron, painted white with raised black inscription. Triangular in section. The name of the Parish "SUCKLEY" is inscribed on the top plate. On the left side a hand points right and beneath is written "TO WORCESTER/ CROSS/ 9.MILES" and at the base "MARTLEY/ RURAL DISTRICT/ COUNCIL/ 1898". On the right side a hand points left and beneath is written "TO STOCKS/ ½ MILE/ 176 YARDS", and at the base "M & W GRAZEBROOK/ IRON FOUNDERS/ DUDLEY/ 1898". One of a group of such milestones in the area.
