Description

This milestone, located at the National Grid Reference SO 728527, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised black inscriptions. The milestone is triangular in shape and is partially buried. The top plate displays the name of the parish, "SUCKLEY." On the left side, there is a hand pointing right with the inscription "TO WORCESTER/ 9 MILES" below it. On the right side, another hand points left with "TO BROMYARD/ 5½ MILES" underneath. This milestone is part of a group of similar milestones in the area.
