Description

This is a milestone located in Suckley, dated 1898. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring a raised inscription. The milestone has a triangular shape. The name of the parish, "SUCKLEY," is inscribed on the top plate. On the left side, there is a hand pointing right, with the inscription "TO WORCESTER/ 10 MILES" below it, and at the base, it reads "MARTLEY/RURAL DISTRICT/COUNCIL/ 1898." On the right side, it states "TO BROMYARD/4½ MILES," with "M & W BRAZENBROOK/IRON FOUNDERS/ DUDLEY/1898" at the base. This milestone is part of a group of similar milestones in the area.
