SO 75 SW SUCKLEY CP SUCKLEY KNOWL 3/90 Milestone at NGR - 716532 II -

Milestone. Dated 1898. Cast iron, painted white with raised inscription. Triangular in section. The name of the parish "SUCKLEY" is inscribed on the top plate. On the left side a hand points right and beneath is written "TO WORCESTER/ 10 MILES" and at the base "MARTLEY/RURAL DISTRICT/COUNCIL/ 1898 on the right side is written "TO BROMYARD/4½ MILES" and at the base "M & W BRAZENBROOK/IRON FOUNDERS/ DUDLEY/1898". One of a group of such milestones in the area.
