Description
Bridge Cottage is a cottage that likely dates back to the early 18th century. It has a timber-framed structure with square panels and rendered brick infill. The lower part of the west gable end and the lower section of the north elevation have brick replacement walling, while the south elevation is rendered. The cottage features a low, pitched tiled roof and an external rubble chimney with a bread oven on the east gable end, along with a rebuilt, detached brick stack.
The building is two storeys tall, and the main south elevation, which faces away from the road, has irregular window arrangements. There are four ground floor casements and two first floor casements, all with moulded wood surrounds. A gabled timber porch sits on a brick base, featuring a 20th-century timber door to the right bay. Additionally, there are two attic lights in the west gable end and a ground floor casement in the left bay of the north elevation facing the road.
