Cottage. Probably early Cl7, restored late C20. Timber-framed, rendered infill, replacement timbers and brick replacement walling, tiled roof, group of three brick ridge stacks, outer ones are star-shaped with cogged course at base and joint cap, also external brick stack with offsets and lean-to bread oven at east gable end with dentilled course at base of stack. Four framed bays; single storey and attic with dormers. Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate, short straight braces in upper corners, tie-beam trusses with two collars and queen struts in gable ends. Front elevation: two 2-light casements, a rectangular stair light, a gabled dormer with tile-hung cheeks and 2-light casement; main entrance at rear having lean-to porch on timber uprights and C20 door. Attic lights in gable ends and additional entrance in west gable end. Interior: roof has two rows of trenched purlins, an intermediate tie-beam truss with two collars and above central two-bay hall part a pair of upper cruck blades.
