Description

The Dovecote is an outbuilding, possibly a former granary, that has been converted to residential use. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The structure is built of dressed sandstone and brick, topped with a plain tiled roof, and features parapets with kneelers at the gable ends. It has two storeys and an attic, with a single bay and a dentilled eaves cornice. The gable end facing the farmhouse has doors on both floors; the first-floor door has a cambered head, and there is a square attic light. Both side elevations include a window with a cambered head, which is blocked on the south side, while the east gable end features a rectangular light and an attic light.
