Description

The Old Granary is a late 18th-century outbuilding, likely a former granary, situated in the parish of Ombersley, near Uphampton. Constructed of brick with sandstone ashlar dressings, it features a dressed sandstone plinth and a plain tiled roof with kneelers at the gable ends. The building has a dentilled eaves cornice and sandstone quoins at the east corners.

The main east-facing elevation, overlooking the house, presents a rectangular window opening with a cambered head and a moulded stone keyblock. A ledged and battened door and external stone steps lead to an upper-floor door, both with cambered heads. Openings provide access to a basement area. Attic lights are incorporated into the gable ends.
