Description
Uphamton House is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features part hipped tiled roofs, with a brick stack located at the left end and rear. It has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, along with a dentilled eaves cornice. The house has four bays, and all windows have cambered heads. The ground floor includes three 3-light casements, while the first floor has four 2-light casements. The entrance is located in the third bay, accessed through a 20th-century gabled brick porch that has a rectangular window in the gable end and a door on the left side with six raised and fielded panels. The inner door is also from the 20th century and is glazed. There are attic lights in the gable ends. The interior has not been inspected. There are 19th and 20th-century additions at the rear, as well as a large single-storey and attic wing from the 20th century on the left side.
