Description
Barrow Mill is an early 17th-century building with a half H-shaped plan. It features a timber frame that is exposed on the west side and partly faced in roughcast. The mill has two storeys and cellars, with casement windows. A notable feature is the fine two-storey porch from the same period, which has shaped brackets supporting a moulded bressummer and turned balusters in the side walls. The roofs are covered with slate. Inside, there is a very good staircase located in the west wing, which boasts large moulded balusters, moulded strings, and moulded pendants.
