Lodge, Hillhead Of Dunkeld, Brae Street, Dunkeld

The lodge at Hillhead of Dunkeld, located on Brae Street in Dunkeld, dates from the mid-19th century and has undergone later alterations. It is a single-storey building designed in a T-plan. The exterior is harled, featuring ashlar sandstone cills and dressings around a canted window.

The west elevation has three bays, with a gabled bay that is advanced to the left, showcasing a canted window topped with a finial. The central door is flanked by small windows and is sheltered by a swept, bracketed porch canopy. There is a window in the bay to the right.

The windows are timber sash and case, with smaller upper sections that have either two or three panes, and lower sections that are either two-pane or plate glass. The building has wallhead and ridge stacks, and the roof is covered with grey slate, featuring both gabled and piended sections.

The gatepiers, walls, and gates consist of pink sandstone ashlar piers topped with pyramidal caps. The entrance features decorative, two-leaf wrought-iron gates, and there is a rubble-coped boundary wall made of rubble.
