Description
Dalskairth Lodge and Gate Piers is an early 19th-century single-storey lodge with a roughly T-shaped plan. The building features whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted ashlar margins. On the east gable, there is a canted window, while the north gable has a blind single window topped with a consoled pediment. A piended porch is located in the re-entrant angle between these gables. Some of the windows have latticed glazing. The lodge has diamond axial stacks and roofs with projecting eaves covered in graded slates. A two-bay west wing is likely not original, and there is a modern addition to the south. The entrance is marked by two tall, ball-finialed, corniced, square gatepiers made of rusticated and painted ashlar. A coped rubble-built wall surrounds the property.
