Description
Earlier 19th century. Single storey, irergular-plan picturesque lodge. Pink and grey rubble sandstone, stugged quoins, droved and margined angles, slate roof. Base course; windows have chamfered margins, some with slab canopies, unsympathetic uPVC glazing; deep eaves, Vitruvian scroll bargeboards; single and paired diamond stacks.
N ELEVATION: panelled door and astragalled fanlight with canopy porch advanced from eaves at centre re-entrant, window at left, gable advanced at right with canted window.
W ELEVATION: gable advanced at off-centre left with 2 windows; blinded window at recessed bay at right.
S ELEVATION: paired gables, modern French doors and conservatory at left, door and window blocked from door at right.
E ELEVATION: window at bay at left and advanced gable at right.
GATEPIERS AND ADJOINING WALLL: 2 pyramidal-capped, corniced ashlar gatepiers; 1 flat-capped stugged ahslar gatepier and adjoining rubble wall.
