Description
Balmuir House Walled Kitchen Garden is an earlier 18th century rectangular-plan walled garden. It features flat-coped rubble walls with stugged and margined ashlar dressings at the doorways, which are located on the east and west walls, as well as one on the south wall.
On the north wall, there are symmetrical lean-to buildings made of rubble masonry with slate roofs, which are bowed at both the left and right angles. The center has a modern porte-cochere loading bay and various doors. The south elevation is lined with brick and flued, with a rubble base that includes several segmental arch-heads, and there is a ruinous glasshouse present.
