Description

Circa 1795. Rectangular plan walled garden. Snecked sandstone rubble with flat coping; coursed rubble inner lining; long and short droved quoins stop chamfered to NE and NW. Walls swept down to S, with curved corners to SE and SW; chamfered doorways with relieving arches to W and E; replacement boarded timber doors. Single storey potting shed to W (outside) with arched doorway off centre to left and window with relieving arch to outer left; bays to right collapsed, replaced by corrugated iron roofed shelter. Evidence of greenhouses to inside of N wall; small greenhouse to centre of W wall and corrugated iron shelter to left.
