45A And 45B Main Street, Gorebridge

45A and 45B Main Street in Gorebridge is a 19th-century terraced house that has undergone later alterations. This symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay building is slightly set back from the street and is part of a former dairy complex. It features snecked, tooled sandstone with droved dressings and stop-chamfered reveals. The windows are modern two-pane timber sash and case, and the roof is pitched with grey slate.

A distinctive single-storey gabled porch is centered on the northwest (principal) elevation, topped with a ball finial. The porch has small windows on the returns, which still show remnants of painted 'Dairy' lettering on the lintels. The principal elevation has bipartite windows in the outer bays at both the ground and first floors, with a single window centered on the first floor. The southwest and northeast elevations are joined to the terrace, while the rear southeast elevation has been altered and rendered with irregular openings. The interior has been modernized.

The boundary wall and railings consist of a tooled low sandstone wall flanking the porch on the northwest, featuring semi-circular coping topped with modern plain iron railings.
