Description

  1. Single storey, 3 bay cottage, with later additions to rear. Squared and snecked sandstone with droved dressings; chamfered reveals; overhanging eaves with plain bargeboards and carved timber finials to gables.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: asymmetrical; advanced central gabled porch, with raised hoodmould; timber door with 2 pane fanlight; window with raised hoodmould to right return; porch flanked by 2 small windows; gabled bipartite window to outer right with raised hoodmould and carved datestone which reads "RD 1888" (Robert Dundas) set in gablehead; window in advanced gable to outer left with pedimented carved panel bearing illustration and inscription of "Time Flies" set in gablehead above.

SE ELEVATION: gabled bay to left; brick lean to addition with corrugated iron roof, and flat roofed addition behind to right.

NE ELEVATION: not seen 1997.

NW ELEVATION: gable offset to left of centre; small window with raised hoodmould to centre of ground.

Predominantly 2 pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof with lead ridges; cast iron rainwater goods; coped tooled gablehead and ridge stacks with circular and octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
