Description
Lonach is a traditional terraced house located at 14 Main Street in Gorebridge, built in the later 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure with a rectangular plan, constructed from painted tooled snecked sandstone featuring droved dressings.
The principal elevation faces southeast and is symmetrical in design. It has a chamfered door surround with a recessed timber panelled door that includes a letterbox fanlight. The flanking bays contain windows with chamfered dressings, and the first floor has regular fenestration.
The northeast and southwest elevations are obscured by the adjoining terrace, while the northwest elevation was not visible in 1997.
The house features two-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with a lead ridge, and a stone skew on the left gable. It has plastic rainwater goods and a brick coped gablehead stack on the left with circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
