Description
Inner Lodge at Newliston House is an early 19th century single-storey lodge with a gabled L-plan, which has been asymmetrically altered by a later addition. The building is constructed of rubble sandstone, with squared dressings. There is a stone gabled porch located in the re-entrant angle to the west, featuring a window on the return. There are additional windows on the left and right wings, with a gable projecting at the center that has a blinded window and a later window inserted to the right. A later wing has been added to the right, which includes timber mullioned bipartite windows. The sash and case windows have 8-pane glazing patterns, and the lodge features a stone gablehead with coped stacks, all covered by grey slates.
