Description
The dovecot at Newliston House is an early 18th-century structure that has been converted into a residence around 1975. It features double chambers and is designed in a two-stage lectern style. The building is constructed from rubble sandstone with squared dressings, including a rat course and a cill course. It has two pointed arch flight openings on the south side, along with later square-headed insertions. The crowstepped skews add to its architectural character. There are two boarded doors on the south side, various square windows on the east, west, and north elevations, and an additional door on the north side. The roof is made of grey slate and includes a lead course at the mid pitch, along with a row of flight-holes.
