Description
The Walled Garden at Newliston House is an early 18th century rectangular garden located to the southwest of the house. It features a compartmentalised layout and has a reconstructed southern wall built between 1875 and 1881. The garden is surrounded by rubble walls, which have some harl pointing and ashlar coping at intervals. There are rusticated gatepiers with pulvinated friezes and a cornice. Certain south-facing walls are lined with brick, and there are lean-to hot-houses situated in the center of the northern wall, which is partially collapsed.
