Walled Garden, Ravelrig House, 527 Lanark Road West, Edinburgh

The Walled Garden at Ravelrig House, located at 527 Lanark Road West in Edinburgh, has its foundations dating from the earlier to mid 18th century, with alterations made in the mid 19th century. This rectangular-plan garden measures 70 by 60 meters and is oriented northwest to southeast. It features a rubble wall with slab coping, along with ashlar margins and dressings. The 19th-century low rubble plinth wall has saddleback coping and cast-iron arrowhead railings along the northern half of the southwest wall, with a two-leaf wooden door positioned to the right of the railings.

There is a blocked door at the western end of the northwest wall, and doors located at both the northern and southern ends of the northeast wall. At the northern end of the garden, there is a greenhouse and a modern wooden implement shed.
