Description

The gatepiers at Ravelrig House, located at 527 Lanark Road West in Edinburgh, date back to the 18th century but were likely reconstructed in the 19th century. They are square piers featuring alternating courses of nailhead rustication and bold pulvinated bands, topped with a plain coped cap. The right pier includes an address plate and is buttressed at the rear. The piers are connected to rubble walls that are swept, with slab coping.
