Description
The Walled Garden at Edrington House dates from the early 19th century and features a near rectangular plan, measuring approximately 2,800 square meters, with a curved end to the west and a curved corner to the southeast. The garden is enclosed by tall, coped rubble walls on the north and east sides, while the south and west sides have rubble-coped walls, with some sections lined with red brick. In the northeast corner, there is a single-storey, mono-pitched potting shed, and to the west, a modern greenhouse has been added. The garden has square-headed entrances on the north, east, and south sides, each with boarded timber doors. At the south entrance, there are square-plan gatepiers topped with ball finials and a spearheaded iron pedestrian gate. The garden retains the remains of a formal layout.
