Description
Edrington House Lodge is a gate lodge from the later part of the 19th century, featuring later additions and alterations. It is a single-storey, three-bay building with a rectangular plan and a piend roof, along with a single-storey addition at the rear. The exterior is constructed from tooled cream sandstone rubble with droved sandstone dressings, and it includes quoins, long and short surrounds to the openings, and painted cills.
The west (entrance) elevation has a modern, part-glazed timber door in the center, flanked by single windows in the adjacent bays. The north (side) elevation is a blind wall facing the main block to the right, with a single window in the later wing on the left. The east (rear) elevation features a single window centered in the piended wing.
The windows predominantly have four-pane glazing and are made of timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a brick-built ridge stack at the center with circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1999. The site is partially enclosed by rubble boundary walls.
