Description

Later to late 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, piend-roofed gate lodge with single storey addition at rear. Tooled cream sandstone rubble; droved sandstone dressings. Quoins; long and short surrounds to openings; painted cills.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: modern, part-glazed timber door centred at ground; single windows in flanking bays.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: blind elevation to principal block to right. Single window in later wing recessed to left.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: single window centred in piended wing.

Predominantly 4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof. Brick-built ridge stack at centre; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble walls partially enclosing site.
