Description

Probably early 19th century with later additions and alterations. Originally rectangular-plan walled garden (approximately 3,200m?) with rubble walls and curved corners; later extended to S, forming near L-plan (approximately 6,400m?). Tall, rubble-coped walls enclosing garden to N and E; arched coping to wall enclosing site to W (swept to S); low walls partially enclosing extended site to S and SW. U-plan seating (?) alcove to S. Boarded timber doors accessing garden to N and W; timber gates to E. Modern tennis court inserted to NW. Modern pond formed to S. Some remains of formal layout. Single storey, mono-pitched, rubble-built potting shed adjoining outer elevation W wall.
