Knapp Lodge, Rossie Priory

Knapp Lodge at Rossie Priory is an earlier 19th century rectangular-plan lodge, with a slightly later first floor. It is two stories tall, with the first floor breaking the eaves. The ground floor features mixed rubble with ashlar dressings, while the attic floor is made of red sandstone rubble with stugged ashlar dressings. The roof is slate, with corniced and shouldered red ashlar end stacks. The windows are 6-pane casements with hoodmoulds on the ground floor, and the building has bracketed eaves and plain bargeboards with rounded ends.

On the southeast elevation, there is a later recessed door and a semi-canted multi-pane tripartite window to the right. The angle to the far right is chamfered on the ground floor, with a window to the left and two gabled dormer heads breaking through the eaves at the attic. The east gable has a window in the center, a later window to the left with chamfered jambs, and a window in the attic. The west gable features a window on both the ground and attic floors. The northeast elevation includes a single-storey half-piended bay to the right. The interior has not been seen.
