Description
Argrennan Lodge is an early 19th century T-plan single storey lodge that has undergone some modern alterations at the rear. The building is constructed of rubble with painted sandstone margins. Its main elevation is symmetrical and features a projecting five-sided porch supported by clustered gothic columns, which leads to a gothic panelled studded door. On either side of the porch are bipartite hoodmoulded windows with diamond-pane glazing. The lodge has deeply overhanging timber eaves and is topped with good graded slate roofs. Sandstone end stacks with tall diamond cans are present, although the one on the left is missing. The rear of the lodge is harled and includes a small modern single storey addition with slated box dormers.
