Description
Gargowan Lodge is a mid-19th century single-storey lodge with a T-shaped plan. It is constructed from squared and snecked sandstone and features shouldered architraves, hoodmoulds, and projecting eaves, with red sandstone cills.
The main southwest elevation has a narrow gable with bargeboards that is advanced at the center. It includes a narrow door with a hoodmould, a large fanlight with border-glazing and lying panes, and a blind oculus in the gablehead. The sides and rear of the lodge are rendered.
The windows are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roof is covered in grey slate with lead flashings and has a low apex stack.
