Auchendennan Cottage, Lomond Castle Estate

Auchendennan Cottage, located on the Lomond Castle Estate, is a mid-19th century single-storey lodge with a rectangular plan and three bays. It features a gabled design with a shallow pitched roof and projecting eaves, constructed from stugged, squared, and snecked pale sandstone. There is a later L-plan addition to the north, designed in a similar style, which creates a shallow U-plan layout.

On the southeast elevation, there is a rustic, open gabled porch supported by rough-hewn timber posts at the center. The porch includes a timber-panelled door with glazed upper panels, flanked by tripartite windows that have timber mullions and transoms. The west elevation shows a gable to the south with a single window on the outer left and a gable to the north featuring a canted window, along with a sandstone gabled porch at the center.

The cottage predominantly has timber sash and case windows, as well as timber plate glass windows with top-hoppers on the south side. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes lead flashings, with coped end stacks topped with tall, circular cans.

The property is enclosed by a boundary wall made of rubble with semi-circular coping and features a hooped iron pedestrian gate.
