Description

Campbell, Douglas and Stevenson, 1865. Single storey, L-plan gabled lodge. Stugged squared and snecked sandstone, ashlar margins and dressings. Base course; quoins; margins; moulded surrounds.

MAIN ELEVATION : broad crowstepped gable to outer left, window at ground, arrowslit in gablehead. Crowstepped porch in re-entrant angle to right, round arched door, small round-arched window on right return; large window to outer right bay.

Windows now blocked. Grey slate roof, moulded ashlar ridging; tall ashlar coped ridge stack.

GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALL: main gatepiers rebuilt circa 1950s, square coped piers, lanterns. Original lower flanking piers, pyramidal caps. Coped plinth wall with cast-iron arrowhead railings.
