Description

The Wellhead at Dalskairth House, designed by the architect probably John A Campbell of Glasgow, dates from 1900 and is built in the Arts and Crafts style. It features a circular shaft made entirely of red ashlar. The shaft is topped with a parapet that connects four squared and slightly battered piers, which support a circular bell cast slate roof. This roof has wide eaves and is held up by lintels between the piers. To the west, steps lead down to wrought-iron gates, flanked by ramped retaining walls that have terminal scrolled consoles.
