Description
Barwhinnock Lodge is an earlier 19th century single-storey lodge designed in a T-plan. It features rubble walling with an ashlar polished basecourse and dressings, as well as long and short quoins. The lodge has a projecting porch with a deeply recessed door. The front has bipartite windows, while the flanks have tripartite windows, all of which are sash and case with small octagonal-pane glazing. The eaves course is deeply mutulated, and the roof is covered with piended slate. There are two tall corniced stacks with octagonal cans placed axially. The entrance is flanked by two pairs of painted ashlar drum gatepiers, which support simple spearhead cast-iron gates.
