Description
Conchieton is an early 19th-century farmhouse that stands two storeys tall, constructed from painted rubble with some rendered areas and raised pointed margins. The building features a three-bay farmhouse section with a two-bay cottage to the right, all under a continuous roof with regularly spaced openings.
On the left side, there is a symmetrical three-bay block that includes a central door, while the right side has a two-bay block with a door positioned to the left. The doors are adorned with astragalled fanlights, and all windows are single-light sash and case with four-pane glazing.
The property boasts a good-quality graded slate roof, complete with axial and end coped stacks, end skews, a sandstone ridge, and thackstanes. The rear elevation includes a single-storey lean-to addition.
Inside, the only original features that remain are plain square timber stair balusters. The room layout has mostly remained unchanged, except for the alteration of doors in the party wall.
