Description

Bonshaw Lodge is a single-storey T-plan lodge, likely built around 1840. It features early 19th century rusticated gatepiers and is constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings.

The lodge has windows with painted stone mullions and modern glazing, projecting eaves, and a gabled porch facing east in the re-entrant angle. It includes an axial stack with diamond flues and a corniced stack at the west end, all beneath slated roofs.

The gatepiers are corniced square piers topped with small and shallow pyramidal caps, and there is a small pier next to the lodge that includes a pedestrian gate.
