Description
The Walled Garden at Cumstoun House is an early 19th century, two-storey picturesque cottage located at the east side, adjacent to a large garden. The cottage features a three-bay single storey and attic design, constructed from rubble with polished red sandstone dressings. It has an ogee canopy porch at the center, flanked by single light windows. On the first floor, there are two pointed-arch dormers, all fitted with sash and case windows that have small-pane glazing. The cottage is topped with crowstepped gables, tall axial stacks, and slate roofs with ceramic ridge tiles. The walled garden is enclosed by a tall rubble wall that has a red sandstone coping.
