Description
Old Gardener's House at Dunglass House is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house constructed from squared and coursed rubble sandstone with droved ashlar dressings. It is located to the northwest of a walled garden.
The southeast elevation features a gabled timber porch added at the center, which has a decorative double-ogeed lintel and two-leaf doors. There are large windows flanking the porch and smaller windows in the outer bays on the first floor.
On the northeast elevation, there are lean-to outbuildings at ground level with a door and two windows, along with a first-floor window located at the center and to the left.
The west gable has single windows on the left side at both floors and shows indications of former windows at the center.
The east gable is blank and has a serious crack visible. The sash and case windows have horizontal-pane and small-pane glazing patterns. The building features ashlar coped skews and is covered with grey slates, with gable end stacks that are raised in brick.
